The lobbying project is a direct follow-up to the European NIS project, which was ground-breaking in gathering evidence about corruption across Europe. In the European NIS report Money, Politics, Power: Corruption Risks in Europe, opaque lobbying practices and weak or absent legislation were highlighted among the key priority areas in the fight against corruption in Europe. The new project involves TI national chapters from Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Portugal, UK and the TI EU liaison office. The project starts on 1st November 2013 and runs for 2 years.
